This 1980s-era Ryan STA, offered by Golden Age Aeroplanes in Sparks, Nevada, represents an older restoration with 160 hours on the airframe. Power comes from a Menasco 4D-87 engine showing "0" hours since overhaul. The aircraft was last flown in the 1990s and has been stored in a hangar since that time; the engine was inspected and gaskets replaced in 2005. Included with the sale is a second Menasco D3 engine, removed from Harold Krier's Great Lakes when he upgraded to a Warner, along with spare Ryan STA and Menasco parts. This is a project requiring recommissioning before flight.
