1997 Lancair IV-PSingle-Engine Piston Aircraft

This 1997 Lancair IV-P (N2207W) represents an ambitious experimental project with significant engineering modifications. The airframe, completed in primer with winglets and speedbrakes, features a modified King Air cabin pressurization system and turbo intakes, though it requires resealing for pressurization. The aircraft is powered by two EngineAir V8 engines (400HP each), both completely rebuilt by Terry Kell with beryllium exhaust inserts and dyno-tested, with one equipped with an EPI Mark 9 PSRU and the other with a modified Geschwender chain gearbox. A custom 5-blade MT Prop was designed for this configuration.

The panel includes IFR-capable avionics: Century HSI/heading/nav, KX165 com/nav, GNC300XL GPS, Century 2000 autopilot, and Avidyne flight situation display, though the system reflects late-1990s technology. The interior panels are complete in fiberglass but uncovered, with seats in temporary cloth. Additional assets include spare engine components, tools, and extensive documentation. The project was paused due to the builder's health issues, with the airframe last inspected in 2001 and engines last run in 2010, now requiring cylinder inspection and fluid service. This sale includes all capital equipment and offers potential for partnership to complete the build.
