This 1952 Piper PA-18AS-125/160 Super Cub, registration N1894A, serial number 18-1724, is one of only five PA-18s built with the rare "AS" designation, which certifies the aircraft for seaplane use. Originally delivered as a PA-18A for agricultural work, the "S" was added in 1956. The aircraft has spent its entire life in Nebraska and recently completed a more than three-year, nut-and-bolt, spinner-to-tail restoration by Muhle Aviation Works in Columbus, Nebraska.
