This 1940 WACO UPF-7 (N173E) represents an exceptional example of a professionally restored classic biplane, upgraded to ZPF configuration with a 300 HP fuel-injected Jacobs R755A2 engine. The aircraft underwent a complete ground-up restoration in 2010 by Rare Aircraft Ltd., earning an Oshkosh Bronze Lindy award for its quality. With only 112 hours since major overhaul on the radial engine (rebuilt by Radial Engines Ltd.), the airframe shows 2,652 total hours. The restoration included a full rear canopy conversion and features modern avionics including an Aspen 1000 PFD/MFD, Garmin GNC 250XL COM/GPS, and GTX 327 transponder.
