This 1928 Ford 5-AT-B Tri-Motor, registration N9667, is a historically significant airframe presented for static museum display, with a total time of one hour. Its documented history began with its first flight on December 14, 1928, and its delivery as the first aircraft for Southwest Air Fast Express (Safeway), a direct predecessor to American Airlines. After service with TACA Airlines, the aircraft was lost in a Central American jungle in the late 1930s, with its wreckage recovered in 1975 and subsequently used as a pattern reference for the restoration of five other Ford Tri-Motors.
