1918 Curtiss JennySingle-Engine Piston Aircraft • Sparks, NV, USA
This 1918 Curtiss Jenny (JN4) represents a rare piece of aviation history as one of only two surviving OX5-powered Jennys originally purchased by the U.S. Navy. The aircraft underwent a meticulous restoration in 1987 at the San Diego Air and Space Museum, where it was recovered with Ceconite fabric and has remained hangared ever since. Following its restoration, this historically significant biplane was displayed at several notable institutions including the Douglas Aircraft Museum in Santa Monica, the Santa Monica Museum, and Yanks Air Museum in Chino before entering a private Northern California collection.
