This 1916 Curtiss Jenny, registration N996J, is one of three Curtiss OX5 JN4D aircraft originally purchased by the US Navy. It underwent a restoration at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in 1983 and has since been maintained in museums and private collections, always stored indoors. The aircraft is presented as an excellent example for museum display or private collection and is currently surplus to the owner's needs.
