This Osprey GP-4 project, listed at $25,000 and located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is an unfinished build offered for sale by owner Michael Rieff. The airframe is reported at an honest 98+ percent completion point, built to the plans without significant modifications, and is essentially complete except for one piece of skin forward of the windscreen, installation of the windscreen, and procurement and installation of the cowl. Fuel System

Mitchell Float Sensor - 18 gallon centerline fuselage tank and 18 gallon tank in each wing (approximate). All tanks pressure tested before installation. Wing tanks use sight gauges; fuselage tank uses and panel indicator. Quick drains on all tanks. Four position fuel tank selector.

Fuel Pump

Holley 12-802-1 - P/N fuel pump providing PSI, suitable for fuel injected engines

Landing Gear

Parker 1000 PSI Hydraulic Power Unit - landing gear complete. All main gear components professionally welded and painted with self etching primer. Main gear doors installed and fit perfectly. psi installed. All three gears cycle well on jacks.

Flaps

Vans RV-6/7/8/9 Linear Actuator - Flaps extended and retracted by new Maximum flap deflection is correct.

Oil Cooler

Airflow Systems NDM 20006A - Firewall shelf mounting a new oil cooler, NDM P/N is installed. The output plenum for the oil cooler is complete.

Engine Mount

Lord Dynafocal Mounts - Engine mount/nose gear assembly professionally welded and powder coated. Pre-welded IO-360 ring used. New heavy duty included.

Pitot Tube

12-AN5812 Heated Pitot Tube - New type is installed.

Trim System

Ray Allen Electric Pitch Trim - New system is installed.

Wheels and Brakes

Cleveland Wheels and Brakes - New with rudder pedal cylinders reservoir installed.

Lighting

Whelen HDAFC - New model HDAFC strobe power supply (multi-flash) with combination strobe/position lights on wingtips and tail installed.

Cabin Ventilation

NACA inlets, aeroduct, and cabin air vents installed.

Instrument Panel

GT-50 Flight Data System - Three-section removable instrument panel with electro-luminescent and incandescent in aviation blue. Left panel: headset jacks, auto dimming gear indicator and warning with test function, flap/pitch trim indicators, vacuum split master switch, ignition switch with two keys, Center panel: airspeed indicator, electric turn coordinator, artificial horizon, directional gyro, vertical speed indicator, two unused nav instrument positions. Right panel: seven internally lit combination switches/circuit breakers, TSO'd fuel flow/manifold EGT/CHT fuel center fuel tank level indicator, headset jacks, 11 circuit breakers.

Electrical System

Four removable electrical modules with plug-in connectors. Lighting/dimming module and wing wiring interface below pilot seat. Major electrical assembly below co-pilot seat. Flap limit switch module on flap motor assembly. Fully documented with schematics and interconnect diagram.

Canopy

3/16" clear canopy installed and sliding well on cabin rails. Forward and aft locking pins engage when closed. Tight fitting skirt installed. 1/4" lightly smoked windscreen included and cut to size, but not installed.

Control Cables

All control cables throughout the airframe are stainless steel with end fittings professionally swaged by Aircraft Spruce.

Seats

Confor Foam CF42 - Seat frames built and strung, but not finished. seat cushions included Soft and Medium in two sizes).

Magnetic Compass

Precision Aviation PAI-700 - One Vertical Card Magnetic Compass, new.

Vacuum System

Rapco RA215CC - vacuum pump and vacuum regulator, both used.

Headsets

David Clark H10-75 - Two (military version) headsets with adapter connectors.

Tooling and Forms

Flannel covered forms to make wingtip and tail light/strobe lenses. Plexiglass sheets mounted in frames to heat and pull over the forms. Two wing jacks. A set of well worn plans.

Control Cable

A-920 Push-Pull Control Cable - One 60 inch for throttle, prop or mixture, new.

Interior & Exterior

Interior Notes: Project needs all interior appointments. Seat frames built and strung, but not finished.

Exterior Notes: Airframe at 98+ percent completion. Needs exterior fit and finish. All flying surfaces complete with close fitting glass covered fairings on the leading edges. Trailing edges of wing and fin glass covered per plans.
