This full-scale Nieuport 11 replica represents a meticulously crafted homage to the original WWI-era aircraft, with extensive attention to historical accuracy. The builder conducted detailed research at the Le Bourget Museum in Paris to ensure faithful external reproduction, while incorporating modern safety enhancements like a steel tube fuselage with wire bracing. Powered by a reliable 110 hp Rotec R.2800 radial engine, the aircraft demonstrates docile handling characteristics with a maximum sea level speed of 156 km/h (97 mph) and a service ceiling of 4,572 m (15,000 ft). Performance metrics include a 14-minute 25-second climb to 1,981 m (6,500 ft) and a fuel capacity of 91 liters (20 Imperial gallons). The aircraft's dimensions precisely replicate the original design with a 7.49 m (24 ft 6 in) upper wingspan and empty weight of 550 kg (1,213 lb). Having served its current owners well, this authentic recreation is now available for transfer to a new custodian.
