This 2025 Pipistrel Velis Electro is a new, zero-time Light Sport Aircraft offered by the Canadian distributor. As the world's first type-certified electric airplane, it is fully approved for VFR operations and pilot training. The aircraft is powered by a Pipistrel E-811 electric engine producing 57.6 kW from a 345 VDC system with a dual battery setup, featuring liquid cooling and an onboard charging port with a charge time of approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
