2024 Vans RV-8Experimental Aircraft

This 2024 Vans RV-8 (N849CJ) is a freshly completed Phase I aircraft with only 21.5 hours total time since factory new. Powered by a Lycoming IO-360-M1B engine with matching 21.5 hours and a newly overhauled Hartzell constant-speed propeller with fresh blades installed in May 2025, the aircraft is currently undergoing IRAN for a prop strike. The airframe features a 42-gallon fuel capacity with a 1,800 lb max gross weight and 650 lb useful load, complete with rear seat controls and an annual completed in March 2025.

The aircraft is equipped with a comprehensive Garmin avionics suite including a G3X primary flight display, G5 EFIS, GNX-375 GPS/ADS-B, GMC-507 autopilot, and dual radio setup. Additional features include Hooker harnesses, heated seats, AEROLED lighting, CiES fuel senders, and a new battery installed in February 2025. Currently hangared in Oceanside, California (L18), this IFR-capable RV-8 is ready for paint and presents as a well-equipped, low-time example with full log records.
