This 2007 Mooney M20M GX Bravo, registered as N18GX, is a unique and historically significant aircraft with a total airframe and engine time of 1,825 hours. Its story begins as an experimental airframe provided by Mooney to Garmin for the certification of the G-1000 and later the GFC-700 autopilot, systems not typically available on the Bravo model. The aircraft was finally production certified as airworthy in 2007 with 299 hours, resulting in a one-off example featuring a full Garmin G-1000 panel with WAAS, the GFC-700 autopilot, and an L3 WX-500 Stormscope with Skywatch traffic avoidance.
