This 2004 American Champion 7-GCBC Explorer, registered as N117SG, is a one-of-a-kind example that has been completely restored following an incident in 2023 when a hangar door fell on it during a storm. The airframe was professionally repaired and recovered, with a paint scheme inspired by the new American Champion Decathlon design. The restoration included new fabric, new windscreen, greenhouse baggage door, new spark plugs, all new engine hoses, and a new carburetor. The aircraft has been upgraded to Scout gear, providing excellent prop clearance, and currently rides on 800x6 tires with a set of 850x6 Aero Classic Smooth Tundra tires...
