The aircraft was built and flown by its owner until 1996, when it was disassembled into major sub-assemblies and placed into long-term, temperature and humidity-controlled storage. The seller notes an estimated 253 labor hours to restore to flying condition. The airframe and engine—a Lycoming IO-360-C1A—both have a total time of 198 hours, and the Hartzell HC-F2YL-1F propeller has 198 hours since new. The plane is reported to have never been crashed or damaged, and it won the "Champion Kit Built" Lindy award at Oshkosh in 1990....
