This 1954 Cessna 170B, registration N2771C (serial number 26315), is a heavily customized classic built to near-new standards roughly a decade ago through an 80% total rebuild that served as the predecessor to the Bushliner overhaul program. Originally owned by a Kenmore employee after a 1972 ditching, the aircraft was restored in 2010, with most fuselage skins removed, replaced, and zinc chromated. It carries Cutlass RG wings that are internally epoxied, Cutlass RG doors with overcenter mechanisms and handles, and flaps with a trailing edge "speed bead" for heavy STOL work and more sudden deployment. The rebuild earned a bronze Lindy Award...
