This is a rare and exceptionally well-documented 1945 Grumman American F8F-2 Bearcat, a World War II-era fighter interceptor previously owned by the well-known warbird collector Mustang Mike since 1963. The airframe and engine both show only 992 hours total time since factory new, and the aircraft comes with complete Navy log books from new. Hangar-kept and described as in immaculate condition, the civilian paint scheme was applied in 1965 and reportedly still appears as it did the day it was applied.
