This 1944 North American P-51D Mustang (N151BW, serial 44-74813) represents an award-winning example of the iconic warbird, meticulously restored as "Cripes A' Mighty" in the authentic markings of Major George E. Preddy's WWII aircraft. With 1,453.8 total hours on the airframe and 466.8 hours since its 2002 restoration by Midwest Aero Restorations (which earned it the EAA AirVenture Grand Champion title), this Mustang maintains exceptional condition described as "10/10 inside and out." The Packard V-1650-7 Merlin engine was overhauled by Vintage V-12s and shows 466.8 SMOH, paired with a Hamilton Standard 24D50-87 propeller featuring cuffed blades (AD 81-13-06R2 compliance due June 2028).

The aircraft blends historical authenticity with modern upgrades, retaining its original WWII instrument panel layout while incorporating Garmin avionics (GNC 355, GTX 345R ADS-B, dual Garmin 275 displays), a Trig 92 radio, and PMA 4000 intercom. Operational enhancements include dual controls by Tri-State Aviation, high-pressure oxygen, Martin radiator, and Hovey Machine spin-on oil filter. The exterior wears a period-correct 1944 paint scheme, and the interior reflects the same historical accuracy. This turnkey warbird is ADS-B equipped and includes an Artex 406 ELT plus Shadin Miniflow fuel monitoring.
