This 1944 North American P-51D Mustang, registered as N1751D, is a documented combat veteran with a total airframe time of 2,097 hours. Known as "Sierra Sue II," it flew with the 402nd Fighter Squadron, 370th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force, piloted by 1st Lt. Robert (Bob) Bohna. The aircraft underwent a complete, three-year restoration by Air Corps Aviation to its exact April 1945 configuration, with only the engine mount, ailerons, and flaps not being original to the 1944 airframe.
