This 1942 Boeing/Stearman A75L-3 (N32497) represents a rare civilian trainer variant, with only four PT-17 aircraft originally sold for civilian use in 1941 while the rest served military roles. With a total airframe time of 3,907 hours, this historic aircraft was previously operated by Parks Air College in St. Louis before transitioning to a west coast cropduster role. It has had only three owners in the Raleigh-Durham area over the past 50 years. The airframe features upper wings and center section re-covered in 2001 using Stitts Poly-Fiber, and it retains its original Stearman cockpits with a classic Air Corps Blue and Yellow Wings...
