This 1941 Consolidated Vultee 28-5ACF (N5PY, S/N 417) represents a rare and historic amphibious project aircraft, being the last surviving PBY with complete Landseaire modifications. Originally serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII as Canso 9746 for coastal patrol and convoy escort, it was later converted under FAA Type Certificate #785 into a Landseaire Flying Yacht configuration. The aircraft features upgraded Pratt & Whitney R-1830-94 engines producing 1,350 HP each, with 760 and 773 hours SMOH respectively, and propellers showing 25 hours SMOH.
