This 1928 de Havilland DH-60 Gipsy Moth, registration G-AADR, is a rare metal-framed example built under license by Curtiss. With a total airframe time of 1,284 hours, this aircraft has a significant restoration history. The airframe was restored by Bert Brooks in America in 1979, and its Gipsy I engine was fully restored by Ed Clark in 1989, accumulating only 147 hours since that work. More recently, new tie rods were fitted in 2017. The aircraft is notable for containing the actual compass from famed aviator Amy Johnson's aircraft, "Jason."
